The Role

We are looking for a Lab Operations & Compliance Executive who will ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of our R&D laboratories. This is not a purely bench-science role. The person will work closely with scientists and multiple internal functions to manage laboratory purchases, inventory, compliance documentation, R&D meetings, MOMs and overall laboratory administration. The role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive and comfortable coordinating across scientific and corporate teams.

Key responsibilities include

  • Manage purchase requirements for laboratory equipment, instruments, consumables, chemicals and other R&D requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement/Purchase team and vendors for quotations, purchase requests, order follow-ups and timely delivery of laboratory requirements.
  • Maintain proper records of laboratory purchases, equipment and related documentation.
  • Maintain and regularly update laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, consumables, glassware and other laboratory supplies.
  • Track stock levels, consumption, expiry dates and reorder requirements to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
  • Support the overall management and upkeep of the laboratory, including equipment records, maintenance requirements and general laboratory readiness.
  • Coordinate and maintain documentation related to IBSC and other R&D/laboratory compliance requirements.
  • Track compliance timelines, documentation, renewals, approvals and action items related to laboratory operations.
  • Support scientists and leadership during compliance reviews, audits and documentation requirements.
  • Organize and schedule R&D meetings, laboratory meetings, scientific review meetings and other internal discussions.
  • Prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM), clearly document decisions and action points, circulate them to relevant stakeholders and follow up for closure.
  • Maintain trackers for important R&D discussions, action items, purchases, compliance activities and laboratory requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with R&D, Procurement, Finance, Administration, EHS/Compliance and other teams to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • Act as a central coordination point between scientists and support functions for routine laboratory operational requirements.
  • Identify operational gaps and proactively follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

What we are looking for

  • Master's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Chemistry or any relevant scientific discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in laboratory operations, R&D coordination, lab administration, scientific operations or a similar role.
  • Experience in laboratory inventory and consumables management.
  • Exposure to purchase/procurement coordination and vendor management.
  • Understanding or exposure to IBSC, laboratory compliance or R&D regulatory documentation would be strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable organizing meetings and preparing professional MOMs, trackers and follow-up documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and documentation tools.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and an ability to follow through on multiple activities simultaneously.
  • A proactive ownership mindset with the ability to identify what needs to be done rather than waiting for instructions.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of science, innovation, and intellectual property.
  • Be part of a dynamic biotech R&D team driving next-generation solutions
  • Exposure to research publications, patents, grant writing, cross-functional collaborations, and marketing initiatives.
