Mechanical Designer/ ECN Coordinator

SUMMARY:

Aeroseal is looking for a Mechanical Designer/ECN Coordinator that will assist us in our mission by owning the quality of SolidWorks models and prints as our development projects enter production and are revised during their production life cycle. You will use your experience and partner with Engineering to lead the development of robust drafting standards for our company. The position will also coordinate post-launch Engineering Change activities, so product revisions are implemented smoothly into production. This role will have a substantial influence on how our Engineering team communicates with key stakeholders across the organization, including suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ year's experience in Solidworks mechanical drafting / design

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication

• Experience with electrical schematics

• Ability to create and refine engineering drafting standards

• Ability to coach other engineers to ensure all work meets the drafting standards

• Ability to coordinate Engineering Change activities within the production environment with strong oral and written communication skills

• Robust organizational skills

• Exposure to Altium Software is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modeling and design projects using SolidWorks for released products (experience working in the cloud-based environment is a plus)

• Control the quality of SolidWorks models and prints from other Engineers

• Develop and reinforce Engineering Drafting Standards

• Model revision level / file control on released products

• Coordinate Engineering Changes with Suppliers, Purchasing, Production, Engineering and other departments as needed.

• Approximate job split: 40% Solidworks, 60% Change Coordination & documentation.

The estimated pay range for this role is $80,000-95,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
