Ampd Energy is growing and is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team and drive data-driven decision-making to support our growth and innovation in the energy sector.
Job Summary
As a Senior Data Analyst at Ampd, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights that will guide strategic decisions across the organization. You will collaborate with different teams, including engineering, services, operations, and quality, to optimize our energy storage solutions and contribute to our mission of building a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and develop and implement data models, reporting systems, and dashboards that drive key business decisions.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and support the development of strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations and reports.
  • Mentor and guide junior data analysts, promoting best data analysis and reporting practices.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis projects for internal and external customers, delivering insights that address specific business questions or challenges.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the energy storage, or renewable energy sector.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP is a plus.
  • Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.
