Ampd Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Product Manager to drive the lifecycle and strategic direction of our core products. In this senior role, you will set the vision for multiple key products, manage existing product lines, and lead the introduction of new offerings. Success in this role hinges on close collaboration with our engineering team to ensure seamless development and execution. You’ll also work in partnership with hardware and software product owners, as well as program management, to align strategies and achieve our product goals. This position is perfect for a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in product management and leadership, eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic and innovative environment.
What You'll Do
- Define and drive product strategy: Develop and implement a clear vision for multiple core products, aligning with Ampd Energy’s overall objectives.
- Create and manage product roadmaps: Develop and maintain comprehensive roadmaps and product requirements documents (PRDs) for all core products.
- Set strategic objectives and key results (OKRs): Establish and track OKRs to enhance the competitive position of our core products and respond to market trends.
- Manage the lifecycle of core products: Oversee the development, enhancement, and optimization of existing products.
- Lead new product introductions: Guide the development and launch of new products within the core product lines, ensuring they meet market demands and company goals.
- Work closely with engineering teams: Ensure technical requirements are met and facilitate a smooth development process.
- Collaborate with hardware and software product owners: Coordinate efforts to ensure cohesive integration and alignment across core products.
- Partner with program management: Align product development with broader company objectives and ensure timely execution of product initiatives.
- Engage with global business development: Adapt core product strategies to address the needs of international markets and support global expansion.
- Agile Methodology: Use Agile to manage iterative development with regular updates and feedback. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to keep development responsive and efficient.
- Stage Gate Methodology: Apply Stage Gate to guide core product projects through structured phases. Conduct evaluations at each stage to track progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Conduct market research: Gather and analyze insights to guide product strategy, improvements, and new developments.
- Monitor industry trends: Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities to maintain the relevance and competitiveness of core products.
- Manage product launches: Ensure successful market introduction of new products, including preparation of materials, training, and support.
- Monitor post-launch performance: Track and analyze performance data to drive continuous product improvements and inform future developments.
Who You Are:
- 12+ years in product management, with extensive experience managing products and leading product strategy.
- Experience in technology, industrial, or energy-related sectors is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of power systems, power electronics, or battery systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred; a master’s degree or PhD is a plus.
- Proven ability to set and execute a clear vision for core products.
- Expertise in working closely with engineering teams, hardware and software product owners, and program management.
- Capable of managing multiple core products and priorities efficiently.
- Skilled in using data to make informed decisions and drive product improvements.
