Apis Cor is a construction technology company focused on advancing the future of building through construction 3D printing, robotics, automation, AI and digital fabrication.

As part of its educational division, Apis Cor University is launching hands-on educational programs for teens and adults focused on modern construction, technical literacy, engineering mindset, and future building technologies.

We are looking for a passionate, hands-on instructor to help teach foundational homebuilding and construction concepts in a practical and inspiring way.

About the Classes

Homebuilding Basics is a hands-on educational program designed for:

  • Teens (13–18) to gain introductory knowledge and inspiration to enter the industry
  • Adults interested in construction, engineering, homebuilding, and practical building skills

The goal of the program is to introduce students to how homes are actually built while developing technical confidence, real-world understanding, and exposure to the construction industry.

Classes are taught in small cohorts inside a real fabrication and engineering environment connected to modern construction technology.

What You’ll Teach

You will help lead practical workshops and courses covering topics such as:

  • Fundamentals of residential homebuilding
  • Understanding the homebuilding process from planning to completion
  • Permitting and inspections basics
  • Reading construction documents and blueprints
  • Understanding floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings
  • Construction materials and how they are used
  • Introduction to building systems and building science
  • General contracting and subcontractor coordination
  • Understanding project timelines and construction sequencing
  • Intro to modern construction technologies and fabrication methods

We are looking for a passionate instructor with 5+ years of real hands-on field experience in the homebuilding or construction industry.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has practical experience in residential construction and homebuilding
  • Enjoys teaching and mentoring teens and adults
  • Can explain technical and construction concepts clearly
  • Is organized, proactive, and hands-on
  • Is excited about the future of construction and workforce education
  • Can help create an engaging and inspiring learning environment

Backgrounds that may fit well:

  • Skilled trades professionals

  • Construction technology professionals
  • Hands-on and field experience in homebuilding industry are required.

Teaching experience is a plus but not required.

What you will do

  • Develop curriculum and class structure based on the Apis Cor University framework for each group type (adults and teens)
  • Teach and lead hands-on classes and workshops
  • Create quizzes, assignments, and pass/fail evaluations
  • Help organize schedules and course flow
  • Coordinate educational field trips to Apis Cor construction partners and active projects
  • Support creation of engaging educational materials and practical exercises
  • Help create a modern, inspiring educational experience connected to real-world construction
