Astrome Technologies is seeking an Orbital Manoeuvre Design Engineer to join our dynamic team specializing in satellite operations and trajectory analysis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing orbital manoeuvres for our satellite systems to ensure mission success throughout their operational life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute orbital manoeuvre plans and strategies to maintain satellite position, optimize orbital paths, and support mission objectives.
  • Analyze the satellite's trajectory and calculate required delta-v for precise manoeuvres while considering external factors such as gravitational perturbations, atmospheric drag, and orbital decay.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, ground operations, and software developers to ensure coordination and accuracy in mission planning.
  • Conduct post-manoeuvre analysis to assess performance, document results, and provide recommendations for future improvements.
  • Utilize simulation tools to model orbital behaviour and perform scenario analyses under various mission conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in orbital mechanics, trajectory analysis, or spacecraft navigation.
  • Proficiency in orbital simulation tools and software, such as Python, STK, MATLAB, or similar applications.
  • Strong understanding of celestial mechanics, orbital dynamics, and spacecraft control algorithms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to complex scenarios.
  • Experience with coding and scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for simulation and analysis purposes is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for aerospace technology and a commitment to the success of satellite missions.
