We are looking for an experienced and driven Data Analysis Lead to head our data analysis efforts for various space applications. This role is crucial for transforming raw data from satellite systems into actionable intelligence, driving strategic decisions, and ensuring mission success. You will be responsible for leading a team of data analysts, developing advanced analytical models, and communicating key findings to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of data analysis strategies for space-related projects, including satellite imagery, telemetry, and sensor data.
- Develop and maintain robust data processing and analysis pipelines to handle large-scale, high-velocity datasets from space assets.
- Apply advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and AI algorithms to extract meaningful insights and patterns from complex data.
- Oversee the generation of detailed reports, visualizations, and dashboards to present analysis results clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for data analysis, collaborating closely with engineering, ground segment, and mission operations teams.
- Mentor and manage a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, space technology, and analytical tools to ensure our methods remain cutting-edge.
- What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience (7+ years) in large-scale data analysis, ideally in space applications, remote sensing, or other advanced technology domains.
- Mastery of C++ and Python, with strong experience in AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
- Expertise in data visualisation, statistical analysis, and UI/front-end development.
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong track record of building solutions from scratch and delivering under tight timelines.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or related field is preferred — but skills and execution matter most.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is not an ordinary data job. You will be the architect and commander of the entire ground data capability for a mission that directly impacts the future of space applications. You’ll get:
- Ownership: End-to-end responsibility for delivering the ground segment.
- Impact: Work on data and AI systems that directly influence strategic and national priorities.
- Freedom to Build: Design the team, choose the tools, set the direction.
- Cutting-Edge Work: Apply AI and big data at scale in one of the most demanding technical environments on Earth.
