JOB TITLE: Carbon Project Implementation Lead, Rwanda

POSITION REPORTS TO: Head of Commercial Sales

EMPLOYMENT BASIS: Full-time~ one year fixed term renewable contract

LOCATION: Kigali, Rwanda

TIME COMMITMENT: 5 days per week

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

ATEC's electric stoves provide modern cooking for households in developing countries while simultaneously generating fully digitized carbon credits to drive scale. With its tech-driven IoT solution ATEC is solving a health problem that affects 1 in 2 people on the planet which will also offset more emissions than the global airline industry.

ATEC is launching a large-scale IoT electric cooking carbon project in Rwanda. The Carbon Project Implementation Lead will coordinate with ATEC’s distribution partners on the ground in Rwanda and in charge of coordinating and facilitating all project rollout aspects in close cooperation with colleagues from our Global Ops team as well as with staff from our partners in Rwanda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate ATEC’s electric cooking project in Rwanda on the ground

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the clean cooking project together with our implementation partner
  • Maintain project plans ensure project milestones are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Identify and address any issues or risks that may affect project completion
  • Represent ATEC locally and communicate project objectives, progress and outcomes to stakeholders together with ATEC’s partner

Manage relationships with Government of Rwanda and other local stakeholders:

  • Engage with local government authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, secure necessary permits, and establish strong relationships that support the smooth implementation of ATEC’s clean cooking project.
  • Coordinate closely with local community leaders and relevant stakeholders to align project objectives with community needs, fostering collaborative efforts to ensure the sustainability and success of clean cooking initiatives in Rwanda

Support excellent customer service support and address project-related inquiries:

  • Advise field partner in setting up and operating service after sales responding to queries and concerns from customers and ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving issues effectively
  • Identify barriers to usage and develop solutions to drive usage together with local and global teams
  • Use data analysis tools to interpret project performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Make recommendations for project adjustments based on data analyzed, together with Global Ops team

SELECTION CRITERIA:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Native speaker-level communication skills in local key languages with excellent English communication skills, written and oral

3+ years experience in business development or project coordination

Degree in business, public relations, engineering or equivalent degree

Proven track record in market development

Proven track record in Government Relations

Ideally some exposure to clean cooking projects in Rwanda or other comparable based of pyramid field based work

Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Comfortable with analyzing numbers and reporting project data as a basis for decision making

Experience with impact measurement and reporting
