As Atlan continues to scale across North America, the Regional Director of Sales for the West region will be a key force in driving our next phase of growth. This is not a greenfield territory — the foundation is already in place: strong customer traction, a category-defining platform, and growing demand across the West U.S. for Data & AI Governance solutions.
We’re now looking for an exceptional sales leader to accelerate this momentum — expanding the team, unlocking strategic opportunities, and deepening Atlan’s presence in the region. This role will be instrumental in establishing Atlan as the platform of choice for the world’s most forward-thinking data teams.

Your mission at Atlan 🌟
Lead regional expansion: Build and lead the West sales team by hiring top-tier Account Executives and creating a culture of performance, trust, and accountability.
Drive new revenue: Oversee execution of our go-to-market strategy in the region, ensuring consistent performance across enterprise and strategic segments.
Own pipeline health: Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to drive pipeline generation through both inbound and partner-led motions, maintaining high conversion rates throughout.
Champion sales excellence: Embed frameworks such as MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or BANT into your team’s workflows. Drive rigor in forecasting, deal reviews, and coaching.
Act as a strategic partner: Engage directly with key prospects and customers to deeply understand their goals, align Atlan’s value proposition, and build long-term relationships.
Enable cross-functional success: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and efficient handoffs.

Proven leadership experience — You’ve led high-performing 1st-line sales teams for 3+ years, ideally within fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments.
Strong coaching capability — You’re a trusted coach and mentor who invests in people and builds cultures where Account Executives thrive.
Operational excellence — You maintain strong command of your region’s talent, pipeline, and forecast — and have a track record to prove it.
Disciplined sales methodology — You apply structured, repeatable sales processes using proven frameworks like MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or BANT, for example.
Track record of scale — You’ve helped a company grow through scale-up stages ($25M–$250M ARR) and know how to adapt strategies as an organization matures.
System builder — You don’t just manage; you improve systems and processes across the team, contributing beyond your immediate scope.
Ecosystem fluency — You’re familiar with the partner-led motion and have ideally operated within the Modern Data Stack ecosystem.
Intellectual curiosity & grit — You’re coachable, resilient, and bring high levels of ownership to everything you do.
Clear communicator & leader — You inspire confidence through your clarity, empathy, and high expectations.
