The Role

As a Senior Accountant (Remote) at Free Form Market, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our financial operations. You will oversee core accounting functions, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This role works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen financial processes and support company growth.

Key Responsibilities

Own Financial Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Maintain accuracy of financial records in compliance with GAAP standards
  
  

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  
  

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Develop and refine accounting processes to improve efficiency and scalability
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operations and leadership teams to support business initiatives
• Provide financial insights to guide decision-making and strategic planning
• Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: 4–7+ years in accounting or finance, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environment
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, and evolving environment
