About The Role We're looking for someone to own a solar rooftop project end-to-end — not just manage a checklist, run it. You'll lead a 6–8 person installation & commissioning team, own your project's P&L, and make the day-to-day calls yourself. We run a flat, AI-driven ops model — dispatch, scheduling, and KPI tracking are automated, so your job is judgment and execution, not paperwork. --- ###What You'll Own - **Full installation crew** — hiring, daily priorities, and quality - **Real autonomy** — you escalate only for safety, compliance, or spend above your limit - **Warehouse and materials allocation** for your project site(s) - **Local liaisoning and DISCOM / government coordination** for your region - **Monthly peer sync** with other State Heads to share best practices and benchmark performance --- ### Your 4 KPIs Same 4 KPIs as every other State Head — no variation by region, fully transparent. | KPI | Target | | :--- | :--- | | **Installations** | ≥ 95% of weekly target | | **O&M Uptime** | ≥ 99% | | **Quality** | 100% compliance | | **Improvement Ideas** | 2+ per month | --- ### What We're Looking For - Solid on-ground I&C experience in solar (rooftop preferred) - Comfortable owning outcomes, not just tasks - Someone who improves the process, not just runs it - Has run a crew before, and wants more ownership — not less - Strong people-management skills — hiring, coaching, and holding a crew accountable without micromanaging - Data-driven; comfortable working off dashboards and KPI trackers daily, not just gut calls - Stays calm under pressure during monsoon / peak-season installation surges --- ### Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering (or equivalent hands-on track record) - 4–7 years in solar rooftop installation & commissioning, with 1–2 years leading a crew or owning a site - Track record managing DISCOM liaison, net-metering approvals, and multi-site crews a strong plus - Prior P&L or site-level budget ownership (materials, overtime, contractors) preferred - Experience on government rooftop solar schemes (e.g., PM Surya Ghar / PMSGY) a plus - Valid driving license and willingness to relocate or travel within region --- ### Technical Skills - Strong grasp of solar PV systems, inverters, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and net-metering processes - Working familiarity with design/estimation tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or AutoCAD - Comfortable managing MNRE Suryamitra-trained technicians and basic electrical safety protocols on site - Understanding of structural mounting systems and rooftop load assessment - Familiarity with inventory/warehouse tracking and auto-reorder processes - Basic proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and mobile field-ops apps for daily KPI tracking --- ### Language & Mobility - Fluent in English plus regional language (e.g., Telugu, Marathi, or Hindi) - Willing to travel extensively across project sites within the region; own vehicle preferred - Comfortable working from site/field 4–5 days a week rather than a fixed office - Able to coordinate with vendors, DISCOM officials, and customers in local language - Open to occasional travel to HQ or other states for peer syncs and training --- ### What We Offer - Transparent bonus tied to your 4 KPIs — no surprises - Transparent peer rankings across all State Heads - Zero bureaucracy — decisions in minutes, not weeks - Fast escalations — safety, compliance, or spend issues resolved in under an hour - A flat structure with real ownership of your region — not just a title - A path into multi-state or senior operations leadership as we scale
