Cultivo is seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager to drive the development and growth of our environmental science tools and AI-driven data products portfolio.

You will work closely with engineers, modelers, scientists, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, science-driven solutions that align with our product vision and roadmap.

You will proactively bridge the gaps between market insights, customer needs, business objectives, product strategy, and cutting-edge research — ensuring the successful development and launch of innovative products.

In this role, you will:

  • Craft a shared vision: Develop and communicate a clear, compelling vision and roadmap for our environmental science and data product efforts
  • Unite diverse teams: Synthesize and validate product requirements across various stakeholders, fostering cohesive collaboration and seamless delivery
  • Drive innovation: Translate research and exploration into actionable, science-based products that propel our overall product vision and differentiate us in the market

In addition, as a founding member of our growing Product team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our product roadmap, operating model, and culture while making a significant impact in the emerging nature tech industry.

This role reports to our VP of Product based out of NYC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your team to define our environmental science and AI-driven data products roadmap, guiding collaborators along the transition from research and exploration to market-ready products
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for innovative science-based tools and products — from ideation and development to productization and go-to-market
  • Define comprehensive product requirements, articulate hypotheses, and scope concepts for priority product initiatives
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand and enhance our data ecosystem, creating value for customers and partners alike
  • Establish clear objectives and key results with your team, consistently monitoring progress and adapting as needed
  • Ensure product and tooling changes are built to specification and the roadmap is executed seamlessly
  • Keep stakeholders informed about new tools and features through release notes, documentation, marketing materials, and direct communication
  • Conduct regular competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation, partnership, and growth


Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a strong emphasis on data- or AI-driven products
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Proven ability to develop and execute product partnership strategies and build successful data ecosystem partnerships
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders, internal and external
  • Deep understanding of data management, analytics, and visualization technologies; familiarity with geospatial technologies is a plus
  • Highly entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to thrive in and navigate ambiguous, highly dynamic startup settings
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., earth sciences, computer science, applied mathematics)
  • Passion for nature and a strong drive to make a meaningful impact on the planet through your work

Salary range

$125,000 - $140,000 per year

The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as a candidate's individual experience, qualifications, and skills.
