Position Description:
Responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient management of stocks on trade. Ensures that stock control policies and procedures are in place and adhered to in order to safeguard Company stocks.
Responsibilities:
The Stock Controller is the custodian of stock records & balances. Responsible for physical verification, regular reconciliation, and general monitoring of stock policies;
Assists in developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures;
Prepares and distributes daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc inventory levels and consumption reports;
Facilitates and participates in weekly, monthly and annual stock counts;
Perform monthly stock reconciliation of physical counts for all regional distributors;
Ensures all stock movements are tracked daily and variances reconciled and reported.
Strictly ensures FIFO is observed at Partners premises to minimize stock aging;
Support accurate and timely reporting through ensuring all stock data is updated correctly;
Carries out spot checks on stock balances on trade against the records and captures any anomalies.
KPIs
Manages, monitors, reconcile, and accounts for stocks on Trade
Reports on all stock movement and stock position daily, weekly, and monthly
Achieve product traceability of stock-in-trade
Requirements
Degree in Supply Chain Management.
1-3 years’ experience in a busy FMCG environment.
Good understanding of inventory-related operational and control requirements;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Team player with good communication skills;
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, presentation, and time management skills.
