Position Description
The Sales & Operations Strategy Manager, Group will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic planning, data analysis, and project execution to drive business growth. Reporting to the Group Director of Sales Operations, this role is focused on analyzing key metrics, identifying trends, and managing initiatives that align with the d.light’s long-term objectives. This individual will help refine data-driven strategies, optimize operations, and ensure that high-impact projects are executed effectively. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at both data interpretation and project management.
Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Data Analysis & Reporting
KPI Monitoring & Analysis: Track and analyze KPIs related to revenue, productivity, and infrastructure performance. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
Trend Identification: Leverage BI tools (Tableau) to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities that inform tactical and strategic decisions.
Comprehensive Reporting for Leadership: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the Senior Management Team (SMT), and Executives, summarizing performance, highlighting key insights, and recommending actions.
Pricing Pivots & Maintaining Rigor
Pricing: Ensure pricing remains logical and consistent across the product mix and in line with market demands.
Pricing Margins: Analyze and adjust pricing/margin strategies as necessary along with Group Director of Sales Operations.
Pricing Requests: Evaluate requests for price changes from OpCos and price additional products accordingly.
Project Management & Execution
Project Planning & Coordination: Develop project plans, establish timelines, set milestones, and manage resources to ensure successful project execution.
Project Management: Lead or support the execution of strategic projects, such as product roll outs, infrastructure improvements, and process optimizations. Ensure projects meet timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across d.light, including field operations, product, credit, tech and finance, to coordinate resources, track progress, and address project-related issues.
Operational Process Optimization
Data-Driven Operational Improvements: Use analytical insights to propose and implement enhancements to operational processes, improving efficiency and supporting growth.
Bench marking & Best Practices: Identify internal and external benchmarks for productivity and infrastructure health. Implement best practices to drive performance improvements across Opcos and functions.
Infrastructure Analysis & Optimization: Assess the health of distribution channels, stock management, and infrastructure to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Stakeholder Communication & Support
Regular Updates to Senior Management: Provide clear, regular updates on project progress, potential risks, and key milestones, ensuring alignment with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Feedback Loop for Continuous Improvement: Gather insights from field teams and other departments to refine strategies, operational processes, and project outcomes.
Implementation of “Infra Circle” Knowledge Sharing: Support the facilitation of an “Infra Circle” to enable sharing of best practices, learnings, and insights across teams.
Support for Long-Term Strategic Planning
SEP Revenue Share & Retention Model: Analyze data related to SEP (sales agents) performance and retention to support the development of a revenue-sharing model that aligns with business goals.
Technology & App Development: Assist in developing tech-driven solutions that reduce operational costs and enhance process automation, supporting long-term efficiency and profitability.
Requirements

Proactive identification and resolution of operational bottlenecks and process inefficiencies.
Effective knowledge sharing and collaboration across departments, resulting in increased alignment and best practice adoption.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in strategy, project management, data analysis, or a similar role, ideally within a high-growth or operationally intensive environment.
Strong proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, or Jira).
Proven track record in managing projects from concept through to execution, with a strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working cross-functionally and influencing senior stakeholders.
