Job Summary:
The Head of Spare Parts and Warranty is responsible for overseeing the spare parts inventory and warranty management for our solar pumping solutions. This role ensures that spare parts are readily available to meet service needs, warranty claims are processed efficiently, and customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities:
Spare Parts Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient spare parts inventory management.
- Ensure the availability of critical spare parts to minimize downtime and maintain service efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure high-quality spare parts at competitive prices.
- Maintain accurate records of spares inventory, stock rotation, and warehouse operations.
Warranty Management:
- Oversee the timely and effective processing of warranty claims.
- Develop and maintain warranty policies and procedures in line with company standards.
- Create SOPs and flow charts for spare parts handling and warranty administration.
- Monitor and analyze warranty data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of officers responsible for spare parts and warranty operations.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centric service.
Customer Relations:
- Ensure prompt and effective communication with customers regarding spare parts and warranty inquiries.
- Work closely with the sales and service teams to address customer concerns and enhance service delivery.
- Develop and implement customer satisfaction initiatives to improve overall experience.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service operations and support.
- Work closely with the R&D and service teams to address recurring issues and improve product reliability.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on spare parts inventory, warranty claims, and performance metrics.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in spare parts and warranty management, preferably within the solar or motor pump industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP) and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
