Skills:
- Solid knowledge of various motor topologies and their control theories/algorithms including BLDC, PMSM, PMDC, Induction motors, especially SRM, its modelling and control design
- Experience in design and development of power electronics hardware components, including converters, inverters, and PFC circuits.
- Experience in modelling and simulation of various motors and power electronic converters using MATLAB, PSpice etc.
- Solid background in linear systems analysis, stability, and controller design
- Extensive experience with MATLAB/Simulink and associated code-generation tools
- Experience in various communication protocols and firmware Development for real-time control of machines & power electronic systems using microprocessors, microcontrollers and DSPs.
- Experience with laboratory test equipment, dynamometers, and performance testing equipment
- Knowledge of typical optimisation techniques and how to apply these to real-time systems
- Knowledge of various standards like IEC, IEEE
Responsibilities:
- - Model the given SRM motor along with feedback sensors etc. and design optimum speed/torque control algorithms
- Design, optimization and implementation of various advanced motor control algorithms, including Torque sharing function (TSF), predictive control etc.
- Implement various control algorithms on SRM motors for traction and non-traction applications
- Develop and implement various innovative methods to enhance motor control performance in terms of high efficiency, low torque ripple etc. in the end application
- Identify and resolve various complex motor control issues during the development and deployment phases
- Ensure motor control systems adhere to safety standards and industry regulations.
- Conduct system-level tests to ensure performance, reliability, and safety
- Fine-tune control loops (speed, torque, position) to meet specific application requirements
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to achieve cohesive system designs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis to achieve timely and robust issue resolution
- Test/benchmark designs against the standards
