Job Overview

As a Product Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales and expanding the market reach of our tilapia by-products, specifically tilapia filet scraps or fish waste, in the Medan region. Working closely with internal teams, you will develop strategies to effectively position these products in the market, identify target clients, and foster long-term customer relationships. This role is suitable for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product sales, adaptable to market demands, and capable of achieving sales targets without direct supervisory duties.

Job Descriptions

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets for tilapia filet scraps and by-products, focusing on expanding market reach in Medan and surrounding areas.
  • Identify and approach potential customers, building a robust client base within industries that can utilize fish by-products, such as animal feed, agriculture, or other related fields.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and satisfaction is maintained.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, understand market demands for fish by-products, and keep track of competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product positioning, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and performance forecasts to track goals, identify areas for improvement, and provide insights for product strategy.
  • Attend relevant industry events or trade shows to represent the company and gather insights on emerging trends related to fish by-product utilization.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Aquaculture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product sales, preferably in the food, feed, or agricultural industry.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets, particularly with niche products such as food by-products.
  • Strong market knowledge related to fish by-products, animal feed, or similar industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and sales performance metrics.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to be based in Medan and travel as required to meet clients.
