Industry: Information Technology & Services

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Opening: QA Engineer

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Language: English

Job Close date: August 7th, 2026

The role

The QA Engineer is the hands-on practitioner at the core of Farmforce's quality assurance capability, owning test coverage, defect detection, and release confidence within a delivery team. You'll be part of the QA Chapter, reporting to the QA Chapter Lead, and embedded within a cross-functional squad where you're accountable for quality outcomes, not just test execution.

This role carries a specific mandate beyond your own squad: act as the automation champion for the QA Chapter. That means actively reducing the team's reliance on manual testing, sprint over sprint, and helping other QA Engineers make that same shift.

What you will do

· Plan, design, and execute tests across functional, regression, and integration test types, with

automation as the default and manual testing as a deliberate, justified exception

· Own defect identification and production readiness for features within your team, logging defects

with precision and surfacing systemic patterns to the Chapter Lead

· Write, maintain, and improve automated test suites in the shared framework, reducing manual

effort sprint over sprint

· Act as the QA Chapter's automation champion: work closely with the Chapter lead to identify

where manual testing is still heaviest across the Chapter, and lead practical steps to close that

gap, not just in your own squad

· Coach and support other QA Engineers in adopting automation practices, through pairing, code

review, and sharing patterns that worked in your own squad

· Use available tooling, including AI-assisted tools, to generate test scaffolding early in the

development cycle, and help the Chapter evaluate new tools worth adopting

· Review backlog items before sprint entry, flagging untestable requirements, missing acceptance.

criteria, or ambiguous scope

· Drive a test-driven mindset in your team, helping developers design for verifiability from the start

· Provide a clear, evidence-based go/no-go signal to the Chapter Lead ahead of releases

· Bring prepared input to QA Chapter meetings, including progress on the Chapter's automation

transformation, and support other QA Engineers through peer review and direct feedback

What we are looking forRequired

· Relevant bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems),

though equivalent practical experience matters more to us than a formal diploma

· Practical experience in software quality assurance across the full development lifecycle: test

planning, execution, and defect management

· Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts, with working knowledge of

at least one mainstream framework (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or equivalent)

· Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience integrating automated tests into build pipelines

· Experience driving a shift away from manual testing toward automation within a team, not just

individually writing automated tests.

· Demonstrated experience applying AI-assisted tools to a real testing task (e.g. generating test

scaffolding, writing test cases, or triaging failures), with a concrete example you can describe in

an interview.

· Experience in an agile, sprint-based delivery environment

· Clear communication of quality risks and testability concerns to developers, Product Owners, and

QA leadership

· Fluent English (primary working language at Farmforce)

Good to have

· Experience with the specific tools in our stack: Robot Framework, TeamCity, Xray

· Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of other QA engineers

· Comfortable challenging existing testing practices or blocking a release when quality criteria

aren't met, even when that's the less convenient call

· A habit of sharing testing knowledge openly and building on other people's work, not just your

own

· A track record of delivering on testing or automation commitments even when plans changed or

roadblocks appeared

· Treat defects and test failures as information to improve the process with, not just items to close

out

This role is probably not for you, if:

· You see testing as a final gate rather than something that shapes how software gets built from the

start

· You're not comfortable pushing back on a release when quality criteria aren't met

· You'd rather keep testing manually than invest in growing your own and others' automation skills

· You avoid giving direct, constructive feedback to developers or peers

What we offer

· A hands-on role with real ownership over quality outcomes for your delivery team, plus a visible

mandate to shape how the whole QA Chapter automates

· A collaborative QA Chapter with active mentoring and peer review

· A genuinely global product with purpose: the software you build supports the livelihoods and

supply chain transparency of millions of smallholder farmers worldwide

· Competitive salary and benefits

· A small, high-ownership team where your work is visible and consequential
