Role overview

We are looking for an experienced academic professional based in India who can act as a bridge between Finnish pedagogy and the Indian school context.

This role sits at the intersection of academics, implementation, and operations. You will work closely with our Finnish education team and Indian partner schools to ensure that our Finnish-inspired school model (K12) is understood, aligned, and implemented effectively on the ground.

The role requires diligence, initiative, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work across different educational systems and working cultures.

Key responsibilities

Academic implementation & alignment

  • Coordinate implementation of the Finnish school model in Indian partner schools
  • Support schools in understanding and applying Finnish pedagogy in daily classroom practice
  • Ensure alignment with NEP and NCF
  • Monitor and support on-ground implementation through regular school visits
  • Identify gaps between intended pedagogy and actual practice, and work with teams to address them

India–Finland coordination

  • Act as a key point of contact between Indian schools and the Finnish education team
  • Help the Finnish team understand the Indian academic, regulatory, and cultural context
  • Translate Finnish educational approaches into practical, workable solutions for Indian schools
  • Communicate feedback from schools clearly and constructively to the Finnish team

Training & capacity building

  • Coordinate and support teacher trainings delivered by the Finnish team
  • Deliver or co-deliver trainings where appropriate
  • Support school leaders and teachers in adopting new practices and mindsets

Operational & coordination responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate training schedules with schools and internal teams
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and resources to partner schools
  • Respond to school inquiries and provide ongoing academic support
  • Follow established processes, documentation, and reporting structures
  • Track implementation progress and flag risks or delays proactively

Professional learning

  • Develop a deep understanding of Finnish pedagogy through internal trainings, collaboration, and independent research
  • Become familiar with Finnish working approaches and collaborate effectively with the Finnish team
  • Stay informed about developments in Indian curricula and school regulations

Required experience & skills

Essential

  • Strong academic background in school education
  • Solid understanding CBSE, ICSE and Cambridge
  • Experience working directly with schools, teachers, or school leadership
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with international teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to schools

Highly desirable

  • Prior exposure to Finnish education or other progressive, student-centred approaches
  • Experience in curriculum implementation, teacher training, or school improvement roles
