Welcome to the future of waste management technology. As the Senior Mechanical Engineer you’ll be developing future products and improving current designs to ensure customer satisfaction and demonstrate your pride in your work.

This is an opportunity to bring new products to market and manage the import and assessment of the manufactured item. The role involves significant supplier management and assisting the supplier with resolution of technical issues.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing and manufacturing of robotic / automated machinery
  • Specification and testing of new products and components
  • Working with an interdisciplinary team to develop and iterate product design
  • Defining and developing the manufacturing processes
  • Managing the development of documentation for existing and new products
  • Managing manufacturing projects

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, or related qualification
  • 5 years experience in a new product introduction role
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritize work for the engineering team
  • Experience with requirements analysis and pre-compliance testing
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and get the best performance from team members

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Understanding of electrical control systems including PLC’s
  • Confidence with hands on mechanical tasks
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and quality management
  • Project management skills using agile processes

ACADEMIC OR TRADE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Design, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Process Engineering)
