Building on this foundation, Greenway is now expanding into solar energy and battery storage, with a focus on innovative energy management products and services. We are on a mission to increase clean energy access across urban households in India. To achieve this objective, we are installing solar panels on apartment complexes.

Location: Mumbai (with travel across MMR and Pune)

Experience: 6-8 Years

About the Role

Residential rooftop solar is poised to grow to 20 GW by 2030, delivering a 5x growth from current levels. We are looking for a dynamic professional with experience in real estate, OOH advertising or renewables sector to drive Greenway’s growth in this fast paced environment. The role includes generating leads, managing client relationships, and engaging with third party contractors. You would be working closely with the top management of the company in building an impactful and scalable business vertical at Greenway.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and onboard residential societies interested in adopting rooftop solar
  • Conduct presentations and awareness sessions with society management committees and key personnel
  • Develop proposals and power purchase agreement (PPA) offerings aligned to client energy needs
  • Stay updated on competitor offerings, market trends, and policy changes impacting rooftop solar adoption
  • Represent the company at relevant community events, forums, and platforms

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with management committees, residents, and key decision-makers
  • Advise and engage with societies, ensuring client satisfaction from initial engagement to project handover to the maintenance phase
  • Act as a bridge between the client and technical/operations teams for smooth delivery of projects

Team Management and reporting

  • Training and handholding junior team members
  • Set up systems for timely reporting from the BD team
  • Formalize the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) linked to ERP

Support for Project Execution

  • Coordinate with the operations team for site surveys, permissions, and project execution milestones

Mandatory Requirements

  • Willingness to travel locally and out of station for business development
  • Track record of client acquisition and deal closures in previous assignments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Willingness to learn about rooftop solar systems and basic regulatory requirements (net metering, electricity distribution company approvals)
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with fieldwork
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in commerce, business or related field
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or other similar software

Good-to-have skills

  • Experience in the renewables sector, preferably in rooftop solar
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in engineering
  • Project Management or Project Execution experience
