If you’re a plant-loving people-person who’s got what it takes to build a brilliant working environment, then we want to meet you. But first, a bit about us…

We’re a full-scale, energy-saving, B-Corp certified, sustainably powered vertical farm. We’re on a mission to transform the farming system forever, so that everyone can afford tasty, nutritious food, that doesn’t cost the earth. Literally.

In other words: we boldly grow where no one has grown before. Our state-of-the-art salad leaves are made possible by an incredible team of rocket scientists (see what we did there?), engineers, leaf whisperers, and a root network of fabulous people. Which brings us onto you

We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to join our team as a Graphic Designer, Artworker, and Website Administrator. You’ll play a crucial role in creating visually stunning designs, ensuring brand consistency, and maintaining our online presence.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

Graphic Design:

  • Create visually appealing designs for marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, social media graphics, presentations, and more.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and develop creative assets that effectively communicate our brand messages.
  • Design and optimise graphics for both print and digital platforms, adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring consistency across all channels.
  • Stay updated with design trends and industry best practices to deliver innovative and cutting-edge designs.

  • Implement and adapt existing design concepts into various formats, ensuring accurate reproduction across different mediums and platforms.
  • Prepare print-ready artwork files, considering colour profiles, bleeds, and resolutions, for seamless production processes.
  • Collaborate with external printing vendors to ensure accurate and high-quality output of printed materials.
  • Manage the organization and archiving of design assets and files for easy accessibility and version control.

Website Administration:

  • Maintain and update the company website using content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across all pages.
  • Optimise website content for search engine visibility (SEO) and user experience, including metadata, keyword integration, and responsive design.
  • Monitor website performance, including loading speed, functionality, and responsiveness, and resolve any technical issues or bugs that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to implement website enhancements, updates, and new features.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, Artworker, or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledge of design principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of print production processes and specifications.
  • Experience in website administration and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Competitive salary
  • Location: London or the South East, with an enthusiasm to travel to Pepperness, our farm in Kent
  • Discretionary annual bonus based on company, team and individual performance
  • Employee incentivisation scheme
  • 25 days holiday
  • Vitality at work health scheme
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Pension
  • Employee benefits programme with Bravo Benefits
  • And of course, free salad!

At GrowUp, we focus on our team and our people. We’re aware that the world is changing, and we all want and need different things from our work and home lives. So, if you need to walk the dog, go to the gym, or have commitments outside of work that mean you’d deliver even more if you could work something different from a rigid 9-5, we’re open to talking through flexible working options that work for you and us.
