Build the future of how humanity makes things. Join the Guidewheel team.

Who we are:

Guidewheel is on a mission to empower the world’s ten million factories to reach sustainable peak performance.

We live in a world where you can check the weather of any city or the score of any football game from your phone—so why can’t we get that same instant, automated, and smart visibility into the factory floor?

Guidewheel has the first scalable way to illuminate blind spots and leverage AI to improve efficiency across factory floors at scale. We start with a simple truth: every machine–regardless of make, model, or age–uses power.

We first clip a sensor around the power draw of any machine (like a FitBit™ for Factories) to read the machine’s electrical “heartbeat,” and then layer on additional functionality to empower manufacturers to improve productivity of their existing plants and machines by up to 2X—while simultaneously reducing energy cost and emissions by 15-20%

Founded out of Stanford and backed by top investors including BlackRock and Temasek's Decarbonization Partners fund, Greycroft, and Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Guidewheel is scaling fast, already successful with 250+ manufacturers including Johnson & Johnson, General Motors, and Coca-Cola FEMSA, and recognized by the World Economic Forum as one of the top companies globally poised to change business and society. We have strong momentum and alignment around our mission, investor support, and a culture that values diversity, a growth mindset, and results.

Check us out here:

What we value:

  • Integrity matters: We are honest, straightforward and sincere. With each other. With our investors. With our customers.
  • We (actually) care: About each other. About fighting climate change. About making a real impact.
  • We use data to make decisions: We possess the courage to accept “hard truths” and confront challenges head-on.
  • The power of a growth mindset is real: We strive to be the best we can be. We are committed to embracing change and expanding our capabilities.
  • We are thoughtful and fast, results-driven with a bias for action.
  • Adaptable and resilient: Guidewheelers have grit. We thrive in fast-paced environments and aren’t afraid to take on hard things or embrace feedback and continuous improvement. We come through for our customers and teammates.
  • Extreme teamwork. No one can whistle a symphony.

What you’ll do: This highly visible role requires a unique blend of business acumen and revenue leadership to advance Guidewheel’s impact through a strategic and data-driven go-to-market approach. You’ll:

  • Define and execute a winning revenue strategy for Guidewheel. You will own execution against our ambitious growth goals, scaling a world-class Revenue engine. This includes determining optimal organizational structure to efficiently and seamlessly identify, acquire, onboard, retain and grow customers, creating well-structured operating plans with clear owners and defined success metrics, and working closely with Finance to provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and budgets.
  • Lead a winning team across both mid-market and Enterprise, including recruiting, hiring, and training. With the support of revenue operations, ensure pricing and variable compensation plans incentivize outstanding, ethical performance and support company goals.
  • Determine customer segmentation and tiering strategy, support levels and key customer success metrics and ensure all customer interactions throughout each stage of the customer journey are conducted with empathy, accuracy, and speed. With the support of revenue operations, drive sound decision making and operational efficiency.
  • Be the top customer advocate: Gather and communicate customer needs across the customer journey to influence product roadmap. Identify, develop and successfully roll-out new product lines and achieve significant and rapid adoption.
  • Personally close and manage key customer relationships when needed.
  • Collaborate cross functionally: Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure revenue strategies are informed by product capabilities and roadmap.
  • Relentlessly identify and execute on the top opportunities to support Guidewheel’s revenue growth, while de-risking the top risks. Analyze and optimize performance: Track sales performance, analyze data, forecast, and make adjustments to optimize results.
  • Develop innovative sales strategies to address market opportunities. Test, measure, scope, hire and manage the team to execute at scale.

Who we want: The ideal VP of Sales for Guidewheel will have a proven winning record of over-achieving in:

  • Proven leadership: Track record of 15+ years in tech sales, including 10+ years in SaaS sales leadership and at least one top revenue leadership role at a high growth SaaS company. You have built and led dominant revenue engines at similar stages before.
  • World-class sales and business acumen: Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and sales plays that drive revenue growth in a competitive market. Ability to problem-solve business challenges and frame solutions in context of business objectives.
  • Enterprise experience: While Guidewheel serves both mid-market and Enterprise customers, proven success building Enterprise SaaS revenue engines is a must for this role.
  • Technical understanding: Deep understanding of a relevant data and analytics segment (e.g., AI/ML, SaaS, etc.) with the ability to understand how the details of factory operations tie to our customers’ business priorities, and the benefits Guidewheel’s platform can unlock for them in the short and long-term.
  • Talent magnet: You’re a magnet for top performers, with success building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams to drive revenue at scale. You’re known as a leader who creates loyalty, trust and following. You inspire others, know how to work well with other teams from finance to product and engineering, and are highly respected across the org.
  • Extreme ownership and drive. Results-driven with bias for action and commitment to excellence. Self-directed, rolls up the sleeves and engages in all activities with a sense of urgency. Get it done on time, every time. Organized with good attention to detail, and eager for an intense, all-in role building swiftly with a great team.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences. Positive, resilient and open to candid feedback.
  • Strong intellectual horsepower. Superior abstract reasoning and analytical skills. Creative thinker who finds innovative solutions to obstacles. Thrives in a fast-paced environment of constant change. Manages numerous time-sensitive matters simultaneously. Listens to and considers alternatives. Make decisions.
  • Note: This role does NOT require experience within manufacturing; success in SaaS revenue leadership is the priority.

What’s in it for you? There are a lot of reasons why you should want to be our first VP of Revenue, but some of the top reasons are:

  • You’ll be a key leader at a key time. The impact you’ll have is huge.
  • You’ll get to build side-by-side with amazing humans, at a company on a mission to reach a $10B IPO by 2030, and see the positive impact of your work every day on the backbone of the economy and on the planet.
  • You’ll get the privilege of joining at the ground level in building the FactoryOps layer for the world’s factories and a company with generational impact.
  • You’ll be a significant equity partner in the business. If Guidewheel can reach its potential, success in this role should bring multi-generational wealth.

Additional benefits include:

  • Fair & equitable pay. Annual on-target earnings for this role are in the range of $300-400K, dependent on many factors and our internal compensation and role bands.
  • 100% remote culture. Work from wherever, whenever - we hired you to get a job done, and as long as that is happening, you have the autonomy to get it done where and when you feel comfortable.
  • Flexible PTO policy. We value balance and boundaries. To be the best version of you, you need time away from your screen, so we want you to take it.
  • Generous equity. Everyone at Guidewheel receives equity in the business. You will be working hard to build something great, and when we reach the finish line, you should be rewarded for your hard work.
  • Health Benefits. We offer different health benefits to cover your personal needs from day one of employment - you pick the plan that makes the most sense to you.
  • Additional Perks. Included but not limited to, 401k (match up to 4%), $500 home office set-up, parental leave, company laptop, retirement plan, paid company holidays, and some (if you choose) company travel to spend time with your Guidewheel peers.
