Houdini is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our Finance team.Role DescriptionAs a Business Data Analyst at Houdini, you will play a key role in managing and enhancing our Power BI analytics platform. You will ensure that business data and processes flow seamlessly through our ERP system (Business Central), with a strong focus on efficiency and functionality. In this role, you will actively contribute to operational processes, deliver accurate data and reports to support strategic decision-making, and prepare materials for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Additionally, you will assist with monthly closing activities and provide support to other members of the Finance team.This position requires a curious and proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to create structure and drive efficiency within your areas of responsibility.Areas of Responsibility- Power BI: Develops and maintains reports in Power BI to support the business with relevant decision-making data. Acts as a requirements specifier for backend developers and Power BI consultants.- Data Processes in Business Central: Coordinates business-related flows in the system and ensures data quality to enable structure and efficiency.- Support and Guidance: Supports departments in Business Central regarding development and acts as a sounding board to achieve the best possible results.- Budgeting and Forecast: Responsible for preparing and compiling budgets for sales, margin calculations, and operational costs.- Analysis: Responsible for preparing materials for analysis related to sales, cash flows, margins, forecasts, inventory, and product allocation.- Monthly Closing: Participates and performs certain reconciliations and ensures that correct documentation is available for closing activities.- IT Responsibility: Manages IT accounts, computers, and accessories related to the business.
