​Role Overview:

​

The Senior/Principal Propulsion Control Engineer will be responsible for delivering the propulsion and thermal management control system for HVS fuel cell vehicles.

​

The right candidate will relish the technical challenge of delivering a production control system that optimises the performance, life and efficiency of such a complex system. They will also have the positive behaviours to drive success in a fast paced and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

•Lead the creation and development of Propulsion and Vehicle Thermal control strategies.

•Interface with the Electrical Engineering team and key system partners to ensure successful implementation and certification.

•Apply a best practice Systems Engineering approach regarding requirements setting, sub-system engineering, SIL and HIL testing, propulsion rig development and vehicle validation and certification.

•Organise service provider activities and interface with relevant suppliers.

•Ensure the control system meets legislative, validation and certification requirements.

•Mentor Senior Engineers and Engineers.

Person Requirements:

•University degree or equivalent experience

•Control expertise within the automotive, aerospace or transport industries

•Strong systems engineering experience and track record of control strategy development.

•Hands-on, team-oriented individual possessing proven leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.

•Self-motivated, with the drive and talent to deliver technical and commercial success.
