Your Mission:

As the Director Project Engineering at Hydrostor, you will assist in leading a dynamic engineering team responsible for delivering technical system solutions to meet project requirements efficiently and cost-effectively. Reporting directly to the Vice President Project Engineering and the Chief Technology Officer, you will work closely with the Project Senior Leadership team to ensure the successful execution of projects, tenders, and FEED studies.

Your Day-to-Day Adventures:

• Ensure engineering services comply with corporate standards, specifications, and legislation.
• Assist in leading a multi-disciplined engineering team in delivering all engineering requirements for the project and managing the interface between engineering and other project departments including Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement, Commercial, Construction and Operations and Maintenance.
• Provide technical stewardship and coordination of third-parties including direct oversight of EPC’s to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery of scopes that meet project goals and objectives.
• Define technical requirements and oversee product realization from implementation to operation.
• Engage and support project procurement including expediting engineering deliverables as requested, providing technical inputs, evaluations, resolutions, package management while fostering positive Vendor engagement.
• Develop and be responsible for engineering planning and delivery, including that of EPC’s and service providers, ensuring sequencing is achievable and realistic, and supportive of project phases and overall cost and schedule.
• Monitor scope and schedule delivery status’ continuously, ensuring engineering resource levels are conducive to meeting goals and commitments.
• Manage technical queries on a timely basis to ensure the requesting party is not constrained from making planned progress.
• Manage technical management processes, including actions, requirements, interfaces, risk, configuration and management of change.
• Utilize the Technical Control Board to resolve issues and foster collaboration within the engineering organization.
• Configuration Control within product subsystems to prevent cost and schedule impacts.
• Manage and participate in technical audits to ensure quality and compliance.
• Coordinate across the Hydrostor Technology and project teams to ensure seamless integration and communication.

Who You Are:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director Project Engineering with a proven track record of leading engineering teams to successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. You should be able to coordinate multi-disciplined teams effectively and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in project management and technical audits is highly desirable.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of engineering management experience, focusing on large scale project delivery.
• Proven track record of leading multi-disciplined engineering teams in delivering large scale technical projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical expertise across various engineering disciplines.
• Experience defining technical requirements, managing risks, and implementing configuration control processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in project management and technical audits is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and legislation related to engineering projects.
