Your Mission
As a Quality Compliance Manager at Hydrostor, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Project Execution (North America), you will oversee the quality assurance processes throughout the entire lifecycle of our projects, from design and construction to final execution. Your role will be critical in ensuring that every aspect of our projects adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements, ultimately contributing to the successful delivery of state-of-the-art energy facilities that meet the demands of our clients and the energy market.
Your Day-to-Day Adventures
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Maintain and enhance quality assurance objectives, ensuring they align with corporate policies and strategic goals.
- Data Review and Analysis: Review and analyze data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Certification Preparation: Prepare for and manage annual ISO9001 and 17025 certifications and audits, ensuring all processes and documentation meet required standards (as applicable).
- Quality Records Management: Ensure all company quality records are current, accurate, and compliant with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
- Statistical Process Control (SPC): Apply SPC methods to analyze data, evaluate current processes, and assess the impact of process changes on product quality.
- Registers: Develop and manage risk registers and compliance tracking tools for key development projects.
- Equipment and Material Reliability: Ensure that all equipment, materials, and services meet required standards of performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring company compliance. Support project teams in responding to audits, inspections and regulatory inquiries.
- Training and Education: Design and implement quality assurance training programs for key personnel, including conducting internal audits and educational sessions.
- Customer Complaint Resolution: Oversee the investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to technical or quality issues, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Damage and Missing Items Management: Manage procedures for handling damaged and missing items, coordinating with technical support personnel to resolve issues.
- Quality Process Improvement: Influence and drive the creation of new quality processes, continually seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Quality Systems Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing control of the company’s quality systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Written Procedures Management: Formulate and implement written procedures associated with quality systems or quality-related processes, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Document Control: Manage the quality of documents and the document control system, conducting audits and resolving areas of non-compliance.
- ITC Compliance: Manage ITC (International Trade Compliance) and documentation for projects, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present risk and compliance updates to senior leadership and other internal stakeholders.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and highly analytical quality management professional with a deep understanding of quality assurance processes and regulatory standards. You are a proactive leader who excels in data analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to effectively train and guide teams, manage customer concerns, and present technical information to senior management. You thrive under pressure and are adept at meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor) is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in quality management, preferably within an energy or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001, 17025, and other relevant quality standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and document control systems.
- Proven ability to manage quality certification processes, including preparation for audits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
