The Operations Manager's role is primarily to implement the right processes and practices across the following areas:

· Production (Manufacturing)

· Purchasing

· Packaging

· Logistics

· Shipping & Receiving

· Warehouse

· Inventory

· Maintenance

The Operations Manager is responsible for the integration of these areas which will include: effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures. The operations manager is expected to ensure safe and efficient operations and to enhance the operational procedures, systems, principles, and business processes and to carry out supervisory

responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Set department goals based on company goals by participating in leadership meetings and working closely with the senior management team
  • Develop and implement operations systems (SOPs, SAP integration, etc)
  • Enforce, evaluate, optimize, and update policies and procedures
  • Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; maintain a rolling 12-month budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions
  • Establish goals for production, coordinate a plan to meet those goals, and ensure production stays
  • on schedule and safety is a priority; expand capacity; manage temporary labor
  • Oversee strategic purchasing function: increase resilience to supply chain changes, increase
  • effectiveness of inventory purchase and optimizing residency, focus on cost containment
  • Oversee packaging function: focus on precision, methods, efficiency, and safety, expand capacity, and optimize packaging options with marketing
  • Oversee the Logistics function: encourage cost containment, ensure compliance, expand capacity
  • Develop and maintain smooth shipping and receiving processes
  • Determine product handling and storage requirements
  • Oversee inventory management and improve process accuracy and precision
  • Develop and maintain
  • data entry reporting intra and inter-warehousing shipping and receiving processes
  • Oversee general warehouse space efficiency including equipment placement and optimize workflow
  • Coordinate and oversee upgrades and maintenance of the production facilities, including
  • manufacturing, packaging, and warehouses
  • Help to implement Quality Assurance, Quality Control processes and monitor production KPIs
  • Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment and production equipment maintenance
  • Interface with other departments on customer service issues
  • Manage and Develop Operations team: train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline team within the department
  • Manufacture reliably and correctly the company products in a timely manner, reduce or eliminate reworks and returns, enforce standards and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and injury/accident-free workplace by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Ensure fire and building safety; first call for building & security issues
  • Set up and monitor department objectives for the functional area with the help of senior management
  • Other projects as identified by the Manager

Requirements and skills

  • Proven 3-5 years of work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of organizational efficiency and operations management
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership skills, influencing, and people management
  • Outstanding Planning and Organizing skills
  • Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
  • Decision-Making
  • Deadline-Oriented
  • Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to stay
  • available on-site between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm Mon.-Fri and as needed during
  • critical periods.

Salary Range: $90,000-100,000 (DOE)
