Job description
This is a unique opportunity to become our first dedicated commercial hire in Australia! You’d be the person we trust to act on market developments, build a compelling case for reforestation while engaging with customers on their climate and nature journeys, and naturally drive pipeline and conversion.
We’re looking for an experienced enterprise sales leader with strong commercial judgement and a track record of strategic sales, who can develop customer relationships and secure multi-million-dollar nature restoration partnerships with some of the region's largest organisations. You’ll be part of an experienced global Business Development team based in the Netherlands, working closely with our Regional Director for APAC, and supported by skilled colleagues across key functions (e.g., marketing, legal, delivery) in Australia and the Netherlands. You’d be working with stakeholders across sustainability, procurement, and finance to structure innovative commercial agreements that help leading corporates achieve their climate, nature and biodiversity ambitions.
Key outcomes for this role include:
Building Land Life’s Australian commercial strategy
Developing and executing our commercial strategy for Australia, in alignment with the company vision and strategy.
Helping shape product positioning and pricing strategy for Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) and international nature restoration solutions.
Identifying new market opportunities and establishing relationships with corporate buyers, investors and strategic partners.
Providing regular market insights, emerging customer needs to relevant internal teams to continuously refine Land Life’s product and commercial offering.
Representing Land Life at industry events and developing a strong market presence.
Leading complex enterprise sales
Owning the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting through to negotiation and contracting.
Building and managing a high-value pipeline of enterprise customers across Australia.
Identifying and prioritizing promising accounts, connecting to key stakeholders, and building strong relationships across all seniority levels.
Developing commercial proposals tailored to each customer's needs.
Structuring and negotiating commercial agreements with large corporate customers.
Align and coordinate input from all relevant functions to successfully close complex opportunities.
Driving commercial performance
Ensuring annual sales and pricing targets are pursued and met
Maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM reporting (leads, client interactions, deal progress).
Support ingseamless handovers of signed accounts to Customer Success team.
Collaborating with Marketing & Communications to optimize outreach efforts.
This is a full-time role with some in-office days in Kyneton, and requiring domestic travel for client engagements and industry events. In addition to the base salary, this role is subject to a sales bonus plan that rewards both individual and team performance.
Success in this role requires strong commercial judgement, strategic selling capability and the ability to navigate complex enterprise sales processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Job requirements
At least 8+ years of experience in Business Development, sales, or strategic growth roles within Carbon Markets or Sustainability domains.
A solid understanding of carbon credit markets (ACCUs, VCS) and sustainability frameworks
A successful track record of both originating opportunities and driving pipeline growth, as well as deal structuring and closing multi-million-dollar deals, selling premium solutions.
Comfort managing complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, the ability to establish effective relationships with strategic customers across all seniority levels, and the ability to structure contracts and conduct commercial negotiations at senior levels.
Previous experience selling into ASX-listed companies or large multinational organisations, and familiarity with nature-based solutions, is advantageous.
We’re looking for someone who naturally takes ownership for driving meaningful outcomes, can manage multiple opportunities and priorities at the same time. and has the communication and relationship skills to balance independent work with the collaboration required in a cross-functional global team.

Note the salary range here is indicative of our internal range and the salary offered will be dependent on experience.
