- This is a paid internship from either May to August 2026 or May to December 2026.
- This position is 100% on-site and is based in Richmond, Indiana.
- Occasional travel is required; candidates must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
- Rate of pay: $25 - $28 / hour.

Join us as a Quality Intern
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our quality team, engineering partners, and equipment vendors to help complete the commissioning and start-up of an industry-leading precision fermentation facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- You will support the Company’s quality team with tasks related to the commissioning and start-up of biomanufacturing facility.
- Performing quality checks
- Gather and organize equipment and project data to enable a safe and successful start-up
- Preparing slide decks and presentations as needed
- Attend meetings, take notes, and track action items.
- Complete special projects related to quality, compliance, and lab operations.
- Support quality validations.
- Support updating SOPs with pictures and/or work aids for simplified instructions.
- Continuously demonstrate a sense of ownership over assigned tasks to delivery top-quality and time-bound results.
- Incumbent will learn about how quality systems work, GMPs, GLPs, documentation, process improvements, etc.
- Follow good laboratory practices (safety and documentation).
- Maintain lab organization and cleanliness.
- Complete other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Working towards an undergraduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline, fermentation, or physical science.
- Candidates must have completed 2 years of undergraduate work.
- Previous relevant work experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment at a university-level lab-based class is required.
- Candidate must be comfortable working at a manufacturing environment to where heavy machinery, repairs, and construction is essential
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
- Strong computer skills; highly proficient in Excel
- Ability to perform all work in a timely, and efficient manner while effectively communicating and interacting. with employees, subcontractors, and other third parties.
- Ability to present information in a clear and organized manner in both written and verbal form.
- Self-starter, highly inquisitive and detail oriented.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and results-oriented.
- Responsible for delivering on your assigned work, contributing to the team where needed with minimal supervision.
- Resilient, able to handle ambiguity, and enjoys the challenges and rewards of working for a start-up.
