We are currently looking for a lead to manage end to end quality function for all Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic parts and assemblies in a Manufacturing facility which includes involving in design and development stage along with Engineering / R&D, supplier development and quality, incoming quality, in-process quality, customer quality and leading various audits.

Your Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and work closely with engineering/R&D, sourcing, other functions and the suppliers/vendors in various types of part development and approvals.
  • Facilitate suppliers in implementing effective systems.
  • Review product and process at regular intervals as per approval process to assure consistency during mass production.
  • Conduct DFM/DFA
  • Establish systems and processes.
  • Preparing supplier performance score card, sharing the same, ensuring suitable actions in case of gap.
  • Train, coach, mentor related parties for effective and systematic problem solving and prevention.
  • Conduct Process and System audit at supplier works and ensure Zero Defect supplies.
  • Ensure all incoming parts are inspected and cleared.
  • Ensure the assembly line is running smoothly by ensuring the defect free supplies / providing replacement.
  • Ensure the stock available at factory stores are free from defects.
  • Create the Supplier Quality Flash Reports (SQFR) in line with line, field, incoming inspection complaints and ensure closure.
  • Drive “SQM – Supplier Quality Manual requirements” implementation
  • Work to prevent non-conformances, customer complaints, concession, deviations and rework alongside Manufacturing/ Engineering and Operations to develop corrective and preventative actions.
  • Review product and process quality status and initiate corrective actions.
  • Review progress of achievement of parameters consistently in manufacturing
  • Ensure the systems and standards are deployed and adhered appropriately.
  • Ensure the product and process parameters are inspected at regular interval and initiate appropriate actions to restore the situation in case non-conformance.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing team to identify the Root cause analysis for the defects and non-conformance and implement the corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Establish quality standards and define the metrics required to assess performance of quality.
  • Assist in continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing processes ensuring that problems are prevented and that customer requirements are met with any problems resolved effectively.
  • Ensure effective internal and external audits Ensure that corrective actions are delivered, and non-compliance issues are resolved on time.
  • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the quality strategy.
  • Develop and mentor FTEs and associates for improved effectiveness and efficiency of systems and personnel.
  • Train and coach team members in quality tools and techniques for effective and systematic problem solving and prevention.
  • Review customer complaints and implement corrective actions. Respond back to field on product & process updates.
  • Conduct the root cause analysis on customer complaints.
  • Communication to Field teams on Product improvements and Critical Engineering changes to make awareness in the field.
  • Closely co-ordinate with Customers / Service / Field team to receive the defective samples from field for analysis.
  • Eliminate Customer Complaints by Implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure the Customer Quality Complaints’ Corrective actions are sustained.

Skill Sets/Experience We Require

15+ years’ experience in managing end-to-end Quality function for all Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic parts and assemblies in a Manufacturing facility which includes involving in design and development stage along with Engineering / R&D, supplier development and quality, incoming quality, in-process quality, customer quality and leading various audits (agencies, bodies, customers, suppliers, etc)

Pedigree

  • Minimum BE/B Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile) with additional qualification in quality management programs.
