Modern Hydrogen has an immediate opening for a proactive and detail-oriented Office Administrator. As the Office Administrator, you will be the heartbeat of our organization and play a crucial role in positively influencing the day-to-day experience of our employees. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our office and breakroom and spearheading events that positively influence our culture by fostering a sense of camaraderie, engagement, and fun.

This is an onsite role. The Office Administrator will be required to work onsite in our facility in Woodinville, WA 5 days per week and attend quarterly company events in the Seattle area. These events are geared towards fostering connections between colleagues, building a strong team, and having fun together.

Modern Hydrogen is a Seattle-based cleantech startup. We decarbonize natural gas into clean hydrogen at the point of use.   • Support business initiatives that require onsite set up & preparation (e.g. setting up conference rooms so they are tidy, ordering meals and setting them up for visitors & employees, preparing, printing, and laminating any meeting materials).

  • Autonomously plan and execute company activities, celebrations, parties, etc. in coordination with HR and other departments.

  • Take inventory of, order, and stock snacks, beverages, and coffee.

  • Scan mail and other documents and distribute incoming mail to employees.

  • Take inventory of and order office supplies; ensure the office supplies area is kept tidy.

  • Maintain office equipment such as the printer/scanner.

  • Assist with onboarding & offboarding in coordination with HR.

  • Greet visitors at the door in a professional and friendly manner, check them in, and ensure compliance with our visitor policy.

  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures.

  • Be proactive, recognize problems & inefficiencies, and conceive and implement solutions to improve the everyday experience of our employees.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant, or relevant role.

  • Experience in planning, organizing, and executing company events from inception to completion, ensuring all logistics, budgeting, communications, and coordination are managed effectively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.

  • Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage confidential business matters, internal communications, and files with a high-level of discretion.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as chat and teleconferencing applications (e.g. Teams, Slack).

  • Pay range is $20.00 - $28.00/hour.
