Infinite Uptime is seeking a Director / Senior Director of Product Management to lead the evolution of our product portfolio from predictive maintenance into prescriptive and semi-autonomous manufacturing solutions for heavy process industries such as cement, steel, oil & gas, mining, power generation, and chemicals.
This role will own product vision and execution across reliability, predictive maintenance, data management, process automation, and self-service platforms, guiding a global team of Product Managers to deliver differentiated Industrial AI products.
You will play a critical leadership role in shaping Infinite Uptime’s roadmap toward Autonomous Reliability and Operations, helping customers reduce unplanned downtime, improve MTBF, optimize energy and yield, and operate more safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and drive the product vision for:
- Asset Reliability & Predictive Maintenance
- Asset Performance Management
- Prescriptive Decision Support
- Process Reliability & Optimization
- Data Platform & Self-Service Analytics
- Closed-loop automation and semi-autonomous operations
- Translate company strategy into a multi-year product roadmap aligned with customer outcomes (uptime, MTBF, yield, energy, safety, and cost).
- Champion the journey from monitoring → prescriptive intelligence → semi-autonomous manufacturing.
2. Heavy Industry Product Leadership
- Own product strategy for cement, steel, oil & gas, mining, power, and chemical plants.
- Translate industry-specific operational challenges into scalable product capabilities, including:
- Kilns, furnaces, mills, crushers, fans, compressors, pumps, turbines, and rotating equipment
- Continuous and batch process environments
- High-temperature, high-load, and safety-critical assets
- Drive development of industry-focused solutions for:
- Unplanned downtime reduction
- MTBF improvement
- Energy and fuel optimization
- Process stability and quality consistency
- Safe and compliant operations
3. Product Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Product Managers across:
- Reliability products
- Process intelligence
- Platform & data services
- Establish best practices for:
- Product discovery and customer validation
- Roadmap prioritization
- Outcome-driven metrics and KPIs
- Agile execution
- Build a strong product culture grounded in customer impact, technical depth, and innovation.
4. Customer & Market Leadership (Western Markets)
- Act as a senior product spokesperson for:
- Enterprise customers
- Strategic partners (OEMs, CMMS/EAM vendors, GSIs, hyperscalers)
- Sales and pre-sales teams
- Engage directly with customers in:
- Cement, steel, oil & gas, mining, power, and chemicals
- Drive product-market fit for US and European enterprise customers, ensuring:
- Security and compliance readiness
- Scalability and performance
- Integration with existing OT/IT systems
5. Product Execution & Delivery
- Guide teams to enhance and expand:
- Predictive maintenance capabilities
- Prescriptive decision engines
- Data management and self-service analytics
- Workflow automation and CMMS/EAM integration (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.)
- Ensure products are:
- Reliable and secure
- Scalable across plants and enterprises
- Easy to deploy and adopt
- Partner closely with Engineering, AI/ML, and Platform teams on architecture and delivery.
6. Ecosystem & Platform Strategy
- Define strategy for:
- CMMS/EAM integrations
- OEM and partner model extensions
- Partner-led solution development
- Position PlantOS as the system of intelligence and action above existing industrial systems (DCS, PLC, historians, CMMS, MES).
Success Metrics
- Adoption of prescriptive and automation features
- Revenue expansion (ARPU growth)
- Enterprise customer wins in North America and Europe
- Time-to-value for new deployments
- Progress toward semi-autonomous operations
- Strength and performance of the Product Management team
Required Experience & Skills
Domain & Industry Experience (Critical)
- 10–15+ years of experience in product management, industrial software, or engineering for heavy industries, including one or more of:
- Cement & building materials
- Steel & metals
- Oil & gas (upstream, midstream, or downstream)
- Mining
- Power generation
- Chemicals & petrochemicals
- Strong understanding of:
- Asset reliability and maintenance practices (RCM, PdM, CBM)
- Process operations and control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA)
- High-cost downtime environments and safety-critical operations
- Integration with plant systems (CMMS/EAM, historians, MES, APC)
Technical & Product Skills
- Experience building products involving:
- Predictive and prescriptive analytics
- AI/ML for industrial use cases
- Data platforms and pipelines
- Process optimization and automation
- Self-service analytics and visualization
- Ability to work deeply with:
- Engineering and data science teams
- Architecture and platform teams
- Sales and customer success teams
Leadership & Market Skills
- Proven ability to:
- Lead and scale product management teams
- Define vision and execute roadmaps
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers in US and Europe
Preferred Background
- Experience at companies such as:
- GE Digital, Siemens, Honeywell, Rockwell Automation, Emerson, AVEVA, ABB
- Industrial AI / reliability startups (Augury, Uptake, C3 AI, AspenTech, Seeq, etc.)
- Exposure to:
- Autonomous operations and closed-loop automation
- Advanced process control (APC/MPC)
- Edge AI and IIoT platforms
- MBA or MS in Engineering preferred
