Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts across the mining sector in Queensland. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships within mining companies (e.g., Rio Tinto, BHP, Fortescue, South32) and a proven track record of B2B enterprise solution sales. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building customer relationships, and driving revenue growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and develop new business opportunities with mining and resources companies across QLD
- Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to proposal, negotiation, and closure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders — maintenance heads, digital transformation leads, reliability engineers, and procurement
- Conduct consultative selling, including technical presentations, product demos, and ROI-based proposals
- Collaborate with technical pre-sales, engineering, and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to influence product strategy and go-to-market plans
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–10 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in mining, industrial automation, digital solutions, or condition monitoring
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strategic accounts
- Strong network within Tier-1 and Tier-2 mining companies in QLD
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with consultative or solution-based selling; familiarity with SaaS or predictive maintenance solutions is a plus
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

- Creating a solid demand generation plan including workshop, Presentations and other marketing tools.
