Odyssey is looking for a detail-oriented and dynamic Account Executive to help transform distributed energy globally.

About the Account Executive role

The Account Executive will support key account relationships and provide account management support for companies across the renewable energy ecosystem across India including developers, IPPs, EPC players and equipment manufacturers. The role involves performing financial analysis, managing day to day operations and coordinating with various stakeholders internally as well as externally.

The Account Executive will report to the Country Director - India.

Who you are:

You are a detail-oriented, dynamic professional who enjoys collaborating with clients and has a passion for renewable energy access. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are a self-starter who hustles to give clients a delightful experience by managing many projects/timelines simultaneously and anticipating and responding to client needs. You have a knack for building effective working relationships with a reputation for getting things done and have strong communication and presentation skills.

You bring a good understanding of the renewable energy landscape in India, particularly the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and rooftop solar segments. A background in having handled supply chain finance & procurement would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact for Odysseys’ Supply Chain Credit (SCC) clients, ensuring they enjoy an exceptional customer experience and positioning Odyssey as their preferred supply chain partner.

  • Assist local and global leadership teams with daily client relationship management and support vendor/partner engagement activities to foster ongoing business relationships.

  • Oversee the execution of transactions, ensuring timely billing and collections.

  • Work alongside internal teams to effectively implement business development initiatives aimed at building partnerships within the renewable energy sector and onboarding new clients.

  • Ensure that internal procedures are followed during customer onboarding and ongoing business interactions.

  • Engage in regular internal and external meetings to provide business updates.

  • Follow up on meeting outcomes and collaborate with various teams at Odyssey.

  • Ensure all deal pipelines and databases are kept current for smooth and accurate management reporting.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to aid strategic decision-making and business planning.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Graduate / Post Graduate / MBA or equivalent from a reputed institute.

  • 3 to 7 years experience in client relationship management and account management in the renewable energy industry, or in the finance team of a developer / asset owner.

  • Experienced in Excel financial modelling and conducting due diligence for review of financial statements.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with client teams.

  • Significant experience with CRM systems, like Hubspot, Zoho, etc.

  • Go-getter mindset with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and a high level of process and detail orientation.

  • Versatile team player with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
