Position Summary

The Senior Program Manager, US Accreditation and Compliance is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of the organization's accreditation, licensing, apprenticeship and workforce development initiatives. This includes significantly contributing to the development of accreditation and state licensing applications and narratives, interfacing with regulatory bodies and workforce development representatives at American Job Centers, and developing internal processes and systems to track and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Complete applications for institutional accreditation and state licenses by writing narratives, completing forms, pulling and analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Prepare for and participate in compliance / regulatory / accreditation site visits, including providing documentation and answering questions from assessors.
  • Gather requirements and establish systems to monitor institution’s compliance with relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and contractual obligations with workforce boards, academic partners and/or employer partners; identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and manage project plans, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and track progress towards goals for various compliance initiatives, including institutional accreditation and expansion of registered apprenticeship programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement processes and systems that support the organization's accreditation, registered apprenticeship program, and workforce development goals.
  • Represent the organization on calls with external stakeholders and at accreditation and workforce development events.

This job will report to Dena Frei, Senior Director, US Accreditation and Academic Partnerships.

You have these expected skills and experience :

  • 3+ years of work experience in a higher or postsecondary education institution, with an emphasis in at least one of the following areas: accreditation, state licensing, registered apprenticeships, workforce development
  • Top-tier skills in the following areas:
    • Business / compliance / grant writing
    • Organization and time management
    • Communication and influencing without authority
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • You are located in one of the following states: Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin
  • You must be a world-class individual contributor to thrive at OpenClassrooms, you will not just be here to tell people what to do

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Experience at an edtech startup
  • Experience with WSCUC accreditation
  • Experience with Registered Apprenticeship Programs and National Program Standards
  • Experience with WIOA funding
  • Experience working with globally distributed stakeholders and coworkers
