Position Summary

The Data Analyst Apprenticeship is an earn-and-learn opportunity within an organization geared toward building upon the foundations of a career in data analytics. While working and learning in this competency-based 12-month apprenticeship, you will spend four days per week in on-the-job training, and one day per week completing OpenClassrooms’ online data analyst training path - all while earning an income! At the completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship Program.

The program is open to applicants from all walks of life. For example, you might be:

  • A recent high-school graduate looking to start a new career
  • Or a recent college graduate looking to gain professional experience to improve your tech and digital skills
  • Or even an experienced professional in a different field looking to switch careers

Apprentice Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate technical data to determine effect on designs or plans.
  • Design research studies to obtain business information.
  • Analyze data to identify trends or relationships among variables.
  • Apply mathematical principles or statistical approaches to solve problems in scientific, business or applied fields.
  • Present research results to others.
  • Prepare analytical reports.
  • Evaluate data quality.
  • Prepare data for analysis.
  • Work in a team with information technology personnel.
  • Design software applications.
  • Design and implement security, compliance and ethical measures for computer or information systems
  • Install computer software.
  • Write computer programming code.
  • Update knowledge about emerging industry or technology trends.

Qualifications:

  • Able to work {​{on-site within the employer's Location, remote, or hybrid}}
  • At least 18 years of age
  • U.S. citizen or have the right to work in the U.S.
  • Available to commit to a 2000-hour competency-based apprenticeship program (approximately 12 months)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (for non-native speakers a TOEFL score of 80 is recommended)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical knowledge:
  • Fundamentals of computer literacy (high-school level)
  • Fundamentals of probability, statistics, and linear algebra (high-school level)
  • Programming language (HTML, SQL, Python ...)
  • Manipulating data (Excel, BI tool ...)
