Growth Marketing Manager
OpenClassrooms
Company Overview
Founded in 2013 by Pierre Dubuc and Mathieu Nebra, OpenClassrooms is a mission-driven company with the ambition of making education and career opportunities accessible to everyone.
The school offers numerous open and free-access courses, along with accredited programs for in-demand professions such as tech, IT, data, pedagogy, marketing, and more—all delivered 100% online. OpenClassrooms uniquely creates and produces all its courses and educational content, relying on a distinctive model focused on practical learning through professional projects and guidance from mentors who are experts in their respective fields.
From the beginning, OpenClassrooms' mission has been centered around impact: by incorporating it into the statutes since 2018 and subsequently obtaining B Corp certification in 2021—a recognition for companies balancing profits with social impact. OpenClassrooms is featured in the Next 40/120 ranking, but what we take the most pride in is having facilitated a renewed career trajectory for over 50,000 individuals in 2023.
Our goal: to become a leader in solutions for apprenticeships and professional retraining.
OpenClassrooms. Education that works.
WHY ARE WE HIRING ?
As U.S. Growth Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for generating qualified leads, driving campaign performance, and fueling both student and employer acquisition in the United States.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role that blends digital growth strategy with local activation. You’ll work closely with sales, operations, partnerships, and brand leadership to shape OpenClassrooms' U.S. go-to-market presence — with a relentless focus on pipeline creation, event marketing, Salesforce tracking, and campaign ROI.
You will play a critical role in building the growth engine that drives our next phase of bookings and brand visibility.
YOUR MISSIONS :
Lead Generation & Campaign Strategy
- Design and launch full-funnel marketing campaigns targeting U.S. employers (B2B) and adult learners (B2C).
- Develop segmentation, messaging, and channel mix aligned to sales goals (e.g., paid social, referral, direct outreach).
- Set and track KPIs including CPL, CAC, ROAS, conversion rate, and lead velocity.
Content Creation & Enablement Support
- Create and localize compelling marketing content, including social media posts, landing pages, email copy, and campaign messaging tailored to U.S. employer and student audiences.
- Collaborate with sales and partnerships teams to develop sales enablement materials (e.g., one-pagers, pitch decks, case studies) that support outreach, webinars, and events.
- Maintain a library of up-to-date collateral and assets that align with OpenClassrooms’ brand, U.S. regulatory context, and employer/student value propositions.
- Coordinate with the global brand and design teams to ensure consistency and quality across all materials, adapting content for U.S. tone, terminology, and compliance needs.
Event & Field Marketing Execution
- Own planning, promotion, and follow-up for 3+ events per week (webinars, conferences, community co-hosts).
- Collaborate with SMB and enterprise sales teams to drive event attendance and sales conversion.
- Establish regional event presence in key states, including CA, AZ, TX, NY, NJ, CO, and MD.
Salesforce CRM & Performance Tracking
- Ensure all leads, campaign activities, and follow-ups are tracked in Salesforce.
- Partner with Sales Operations to refine lead scoring, MQL→SQL flow, attribution, and pipeline influence.
- Build dashboards and reports to communicate marketing impact on revenue.
Referral, Social & Partner Activation
- Launch and manage referral campaigns with alumni, employers, and mentors.
- Drive U.S. social media content strategy to support sourcing and visibility.
- Collaborate with partners (e.g., workforce boards, job centers, community colleges) to co-promote programs.
Executive Event Visibility & Support
- Identify, evaluate, and secure speaking opportunities, panels, and conferences that align with OpenClassrooms’ U.S. market strategy and raise executive brand visibility.
- Partner with the CEO and Senior Director of U.S. Sales & Operations to coordinate keynote invitations, media briefings, and thought leadership placements at national and regional events.
- Collaborate with the global marketing and comms teams to develop executive bios, pitch materials, and event-specific assets to position OpenClassrooms as a thought leader in education, apprenticeships, and workforce innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Partnerships, Product, and Admissions teams to synchronize campaign timelines and messaging.
- Serve as the bridge between U.S. market needs and global brand/creative resources.
- Serve as the U.S. marketing liaison on cross-functional projects that require alignment with global teams, such as regulatory milestones (e.g., WASC), product launches, or strategic campaigns.
- Work closely with international peers in France to share insights, localize campaigns, and coordinate rollout plans across time zones and markets.
- Bring a solutions-oriented mindset to cross-cultural collaboration, understanding when to escalate vs. self-activate.
- Represent U.S. marketing insights in bi-weekly global marketing meetings.
