What you'll be doing.

Reporting into the Chief of Operations/Engineering Manager this role is responsible for supporting the design, installation and commissioning in line with HSE standards for our pilot plant located in Hull. You will coordinate and collaborate with other departments and external suppliers to ensure an efficient work culture and safe work environment for anyone working at or visiting the plant.

Development of project HSEQ management systems throughout the engineering and development phases of the project.

Process safety design in line with HSEQ requirements, IEC 61508 & 61511 standards & legislation.

Develop HSE plans and procedures. Management of health & safety documentation to ensure compliance. Implement standardisation across the business.

Assisting the engineering team in the Risk Management process (i.e. HAZID, Risk Assessment and HAZOP, etc.).

Reporting any near miss, accidents or hazards and carry out any associated actions.

Identify potential emergency scenarios and develop emergency plans and processes to deal with them

Plan and conduct HSE audits and reports of project team and activities of any sub contractors.

Assist with audits for ISO accreditation. 9001/14001/4500


What we're looking for.

NEBOSH National General Certificate.

Certificate in Health & Safety Management (Construction)

NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management

A proven track record of delivering complex projects ideally within Chemical, EPC, Construction Oil & Gas, Mechanical Handling, Water Treatment, Engineered Products (or similar heavy process and/or processing/production related industries)

IOSH Membership

A passion for restoring the atmosphere, whilst being able to embrace the ever-evolving and (sometimes!) ambiguous nature of a hardware start-up!
