About the Role:

Plastic Bank is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Content and Social Media Specialist to join our team. This full-time mid-level position requires an individual with impeccable written and oral English skills, a strong foundation in rational thinking and creative writing, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and a passion for using AI and enabling machine learning for efficiency. They will be responsible for using AI to deliver high-quality, high-volume, on-brand content in managing social media accounts and engaging with our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation:
  • Write long-form content for blogs, press releases, and the Plastic Bank website.
  • Conduct thorough and accurate desk research to support content development.
  • Ensure all written content aligns with Plastic Bank's mission, values, and brand voice.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Manage and execute social media posting, reposting, resharing, and commenting on LinkedIn, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Oversee social media activities for both Plastic Bank and its Founder’s accounts.
  • Suggest engaging content tailored to each platform (creative team to help create).
  • Community Engagement:
  • Track current trends and social media posts related to Plastic Bank, its industry, partners, and communities.
  • Engage authentically with followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a sense of community and drive engagement across social media platforms.
  • Trend Analysis and Reporting:
  • Monitor and analyze social media trends and conversations relevant to Plastic Bank.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on trend analysis to enhance content and engagement strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance and community engagement metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in content writing, social media management, and community engagement.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Conversant with using AI for content creation, optimizing on-brand machine learning, and ensuring that the output is human-verified.
  • Proficient in conducting desk research and synthesizing information.
  • Experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about regenerative solutions and the mission of Plastic Bank.
