Plastic Bank is looking for a fresh grad Junior Accountant to join the Shared Services Finance team based in Egypt. Reporting to the Global Finance Manager, the main responsibilities include delivering on themonth end close process, enabling timely and accurate reporting of Accounting & Accounts Payable Transactions. This is a dynamic hands-on role requiring one to demonstrate critical thinking, dealing with ambiguity and the ability to succeed in fast-paced environments. Specific duties include reviewing the accounting, AP cycle, ensuring integrity of the entire Customer, Vendor & G/L accounts along with related reconciliations, producing weekly and monthly reports, and partnering with various internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do:
- Process vendor invoices, maintain AP records, and ensure proper approvals.
- Monitor the AP cycle to ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
- Execute weekly payment runs and prepare cash requirement reports for approval.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, receivables, payables, and prepaids.
- Process monthly incentive reports with proper approvals and compliance.
- Oversee petty cash transactions and coordinate deductions with HR.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and update transactions in the ERP system.
- Reconcile GL accounts for Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss, identifying variances.
- Ensure tax compliance, regulatory filings, and timely government submissions.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with internal audits, compliance reviews, and process improvements.
