As the Event and Activation Consultant for Prime Roots, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing physical pop-up events and activations. Your role will encompass all aspects of event management, including permitting, staffing, food preparation, budget management, and general operational oversight. Your ability to create unforgettable culinary experiences while ensuring smooth event operations will be essential to our success. You will be expected to travel as necessary, but your home base will be in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Event Planning: Collaborate with the Prime Roots team to conceptualize, plan, and execute physical pop-up events and activations.
- Permitting: Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained, meeting all legal requirements for events.
- Staffing: Recruit, hire, and manage event staff, including chefs and culinary professionals, to ensure seamless execution.
- Food Preparation: Oversee the culinary aspects of the events, including menu development and food preparation.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses, and optimizing resources to ensure cost-efficiency.
- Operational Oversight: Manage day-of-event operations to ensure everything runs smoothly, from setup to breakdown.
- Customer Experience: Ensure guests have an exceptional culinary experience by maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
- Vendor and Partner Relations: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and suppliers to secure resources for events.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and activations, attracting a diverse audience.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Analyze the success of each event, gather feedback, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Background: Prior experience in the foodservice industry is required, with a preference for candidates with chef or culinary backgrounds.
- Event Management: Proven experience in event planning and management, including permitting and logistics.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate event staff.
- Culinary Creativity: A passion for innovative and sustainable culinary experiences.
- Budgeting: Proficiency in budget development and cost control.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to handle changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel as needed for events.
- Location: Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
