Based in Noosa, Australia, we’ve partnered with some of the world’s largest corporations in personal care and agriculture to deliver our first of a kind products and we are now rapidly scaling operations to meet increasing demand.
We’re seeking an exceptional Aquaculture Technician with experience in microalgae/seaweed cultivation or aquaculture to join our growing production team focused on the large scale production of seaweed and microalgae in our recirculating production facilities. This role is based in Noosa with opportunities for rapid career progression for the right candidate. Working with world leading experts in a purpose driven and highly motivated team, you will be provided on the job training that will enable you to become a world leader in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain large-scale
microalgae/seaweed
cultures in manual, semi-automated, and fully automated systems. - Conduct daily husbandry and harvesting activities following strict protocols.
- Operate closed-system bioreactors in compliance with internal protocols and specified regulatory standards.
- Conduct Down Stream Processing activities from harvest to the final product.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of the Algae/Seaweed production process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies and improve production efficiency.
- Maintain precise and accurate records to support data-driven improvements.
- Maintain plant equipment and adhere to strict cleaning and maintenance protocols.
- The position will operate on a rolling roster that includes weekends in a facility that operates 24/7 in a time critical environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- A degree in aquaculture, bioprocessing, or related fields or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in algae/seaweed cultivation, aquaculture or large-scale biomanufacturing.
- A problem solving, can-do attitude.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
