Based in Noosa, Australia, we’ve partnered with some of the world’s largest corporations in personal care and agriculture to deliver our first of a kind products and we’re now rapidly scaling operations to meet increasing demand.
We’re seeking an exceptional Project Manager with experience in the design, construction, fit-out and commissioning of manufacturing plants or complex engineering infrastructure to lead the construction of new manufacturing plants for Provectus Algae. This role will be Queensland based with opportunities for rapid career progression for the right candidate. Working with world leading experts in a purpose driven and highly motivated team, you will have the opportunity to work on first of a kind technology, build some of the world’s most exciting technologies and become a world leader in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of aquaculture facility projects, including bioreactor installations and related infrastructure.
- Manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within specifications.
- Direct and motivate teams of administrators, fabricators, technicians, and contractors.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, leases, and procurement processes related to construction and commissioning.
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and employee safety.
- Oversee water treatment and process engineering systems vital to bioreactor and aquaculture operations.
- Ensure facilities meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance standards.
- Coordinate asset procurement, maintenance scheduling, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with senior management and stakeholders, providing detailed reports on project status, risks, and expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices in facilities management and project delivery.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required by senior management.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 8 years' experience in Facilities and Project Management, ideally but not required within aquaculture, biotechnology, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing the construction, fit-out and commissioning of complex engineering projects or manufacturing plants.
- Experience with international supply chain management and procurement.
- Exceptional project management skills, proficient with project tracking and reporting tools, especially Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional and external teams.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to dynamic environments.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with commercial acumen.
- Ability to independently manage projects, demonstrate resilience, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.
