Role Summary

Following product specification sheets and job sheets to produce products accurately and safely. This role involves processing raw materials to meet manufacturing formulations exactly as specified, preparing & maintaining equipment and completing required documentation in line with GMP and workplace safety standards.

Production Operator - Reporting to Down Stream Processing (DSP) Lead

• Ensuring all products produced comply with food safety requirements, meet company specification and are in line with quality guidelines and expectations of our customers.
• Ensuring a strong focus on safety and safe work practices are being followed at all times.

• Read and interpret product specification sheets and job sheets to produce products as instructed.
• Carry out production processes strictly in accordance with approved specifications, job sheets, SOPs, and GMP requirements.
• Prepare plant and equipment prior to processing, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and correct setup.
• Complete all required documentation accurately, including batch records and signatures.
• Ensure all raw materials used are QC approved prior to use.
• Handle, weigh, and add raw materials correctly and safely according to specifications.
• Carry out routine and basic maintenance and report faults or issues promptly.
• Ensure unused or returned raw materials are used & processes in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping within the production areas
• Work closely with team members to continuously improve processes & procedures

Requirements / Desirable:

• Ability to follow written specifications and procedures accurately
• Ability to work autonomous with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in Food or Batch processing/manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience with HDMI & PLC operated machinery an advantage
• Forklift licence is an advantage but not essential
