EXPERIENCED ASSEMBLY & PRODUCTION SPECIALIST [ Location: Austin TX ] About: Austin’s coolest 3D printing start-up, re:3D (re3d.org) is seeking assistance with our manufacturing operations in Austin. As an Assembly and Production Specialist, you will be responsible for aspects of building 3D printer components, preparing assemblies, coordinating written instructions and training others. You must also conduct quality assurance to ensure the efficient production of industrial 3D printers. The ideal candidate is a creative, self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and who is determined to create efficiency and ensure that printers manufactured are the best quality. Responsibilities: Perform precision mechanical assembly tasks; Manage multiple projects concurrently; Establish and maintain effective team relationships; Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes; Design detailed assembly procedures and train production staff on new procedures; Collaborate closely with product engineers and customer support to troubleshoot assembly problems and support product development; Conduct quality assurance to ensure efficient production of industrial 3D printers; Travel up to 2-3 times a month as required; Work up to 40 hours per week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Qualifications: Fluency with precision hand tools; High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred; Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong communication and basic math skills; Ability to work well under pressure; Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ pounds; Proficiency with light power equipment; Detail-oriented and technically minded; Self-motivated and a team player; Willing to learn and can teach us a few things; Interest in 3D printing.
