FULL-TIME EXPERIENCED MACHINIST [ Location: Austin TX ] About: re:3D (re3d.org) is seeking assistance with our manufacturing operations in Austin. As a Lead Machinist you will be responsible for producing 3D printer components, offline CAD/CAM programming, fixture design, CNC mill operations, scheduling production, and improving quality and efficiencies. The ideal candidate is experienced managing and operating manufacturing facilities, creative, self-motivated, and determined to ensure top quality. Responsibilities: Offline CNC mill programming; CNC mill operations; Fixture design and production; Works on multiple projects; Establishes and maintains effective team relationships; Follows company policies and ethics codes; Trains production staff on new procedures; Work closely with product engineers and customer support to troubleshoot assembly problems and support product development. Qualifications: Fluency with precision hand tools; High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree preferred; Minimum 5 years of experience managing a manufacturing operation; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong communication and math skills; Able to work well under pressure; Able to stand for long periods; Able to lift 50+ pounds; Able to use light power equipment; Attention to detail; Can provide references; Willing to learn and can teach us a few things; Interest in 3D printing.
