COMPUTER SCIENCE/ENGINEERING INTERN [ Location: Austin TX ] About: Provide semi-professional technical support for engineers in design, development, testing, and/or manufacturing process improvement focused on electrical hardware, electronics, and firmware. Perform routine tasks under close supervision or detailed procedures. Responsibilities: Assemble/install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring and soldering; Test electrical equipment before release; Develop/update firmware for 3D printers; Maintain records for final presentation; Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; currently working towards an advanced degree preferred; Portfolio of programming projects preferred; Knowledge of Marlin firmware and ability to optimize code; Understanding of Git and managing GitHub repositories; Attention to detail and effective communication; Experience with hand tools and light power tools; General knowledge of 3D printers. Duration: On-going, 3 month commitment.
