About the Box Truck Route Driver Position:

The Box Truck Route Driver is responsible for regularly delivering clean, sanitized containers to clients and collecting used ones and dropping them back to the Hyde Park facility for cleaning. When not driving you must be flexible and help out in the facility as requested. This job is Monday-Friday.

• Driving Re:Dish 26' Box Truck along an assigned route. As we grow and add accounts, driver routes will change.
• Drivers stage, load and unload deliveries from the Box Truck with help from Operations team.
• Drivers will be trained on proper documentation for deliveries. All paperwork/proof of deliveries must be completed accurately and on time.
• The Driver will also assist the Operations Team in the wash facility as needed.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
• Load and unload trucks or vans and help store products in appropriate areas of the store using manual and electric pallet jacks
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to management.
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Our trucks are a great marketing opportunity and your driving and conduct on the road is critical to our brand and we take it very seriously
• Maintains good work habits, including reporting to work on time and adhering to standard work and safety procedures

Requirements:

• This position requires proof of a valid CLEAN Massachusetts Driver’s License- no accidents/no points. Do not need a CDL license.
• Must have commercial route experience driving a 26' Box truck.
• Must have experience driving box trucks with air brakes.
• This job will require lifting and stacking items of up to 50lbs.
• You must also be able to learn a new territory with very little guidance.
• Have customer service & problem-solving skills.
• Must be attentive, motivated, and reliable.
• DOT medical card will be required (can obtain one within 2 weeks of hire date)
• Must be willing to submit to a background check
• Confident user of smartphones and mapping apps.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
