Re:Dish is transforming food service by replacing single-use plastics with reusable dishware, helping NYC businesses reduce waste. We’re seeking a Backup Box Truck Driver/Operations Associate to join our dynamic team at our cutting-edge dishwasher facility in Brooklyn Army Terminal. This full-time role starts with primarily warehouse duties and one day of driving per week, transitioning to a full-time driver position as we grow. Key Responsibilities:

Driving (1 day/week initially): Training provided.

• Act as a backup driver, covering delivery routes in a 26ft box truck or straight truck (non-CDL).
• Deliver and pick up reusable dishware from clients, ensuring timely and professional service.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with DOT regulations

Warehouse Operations: Training provided!

• Operate conveyor dishwashing equipment (training provided) to clean, sanitize, and dry reusable containers.
• Scrape, load, and unload dishware, upholding strict sanitation standards.
• Pack and organize client inventory for delivery.

Inventory & Safety:

• Track and manage dishware inventory to ensure accurate client orders.
• Follow rigorous safety and food safety protocols for handling foodservice items.
• Team Support:
• Assist with various facility tasks as needed in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Driving Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Valid DOT medical card or willingness to obtain one if hired.
• At least 2 years of experience driving a 26ft box truck or straight truck.
• Comfortable with urban and regional delivery routes.

Experience & Skills:

• Warehouse, logistics, or kitchen experience is a plus but not required.
• Passion for sustainability and reducing single-use plastics.
• Strong work ethic, flexibility, and eagerness to learn.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and stack items up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Availability:

• Full-time (35-40 hours/week), Monday–Friday
• Willing to drive 1 day/week initially, with openness to transition to full-time driving.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
